This is a concept game I made for the GMTK Game Jam 2023. The idea is that you are playing a client-server ARPG such as Diablo or Path of Exile (references included to both!) but instead of being the client, you are the server!
The game has no tutorial, so it can be a bit confusing. As the server, your goal is to respond to the player without letting him timeout. For this, on the top of the screen you have the latency (time since last action that was registered). The goal is to follow (some) of the player's actions (represented by the cursor clicking on the screen) and kill the monsters that appear. Left click inside the cursor space makes you move, right click on a monster that is inside the cursor space attacks it!
Another mechanic is that you, as the server, can decide if an attack hits or misses. This is used to avoid damage. But be quick! When you don't make a decision, the game decides for you. Also note that, as this is not a player side action, the latency will keep going up! Try not to focus on the hits and misses too much!
Thank you for your time and hope you can have a bit of fun with this concept!
